Have you discovered the Drill Hall Studio?
If not, be sure to make a time to discover this beautifully restored building by The Strand on Mitchell Street. The Drill Hall Studio is an Aladdin’s cave of wonderful locally created art, gifts and sculpture. Whether you are looking for a special gift, a piece of art for your home or garden, or just want to nourish your soul and soak up the creative and friendly atmosphere of this inspiration treasure chest, a visit is worth your time.
Each day artists are in the studio, working, creating and sharing their skills. The vibe is friendly and welcoming and there is always something new to see, with a new exhibition each month and lots of new goodies in the gallery store each week.
From statement paintings, garden art, glass works, to funky original jewellery and wearable art, there is plenty to see. If active participation is more your style, enrol in an art class or a fun weekend workshop taught by resident artists. Choose a class to suit your interest, skill level or for the kids. There are even some weekly yoga classes on offer! Saturday mornings in the sculpture garden are extra special as you can start your weekend with a delicious breakfast by Epic Freestyle Food. A visit to the Drill Hall Studio will certainly nourish your body, mind and soul!
Have a wonderful day!
